I saw an awesome repo full of emoji (emoticons) icons: https://github.com/jdaudier/refactoru-monsterthanks.
A quick Google search revealed this amazing resource http://www.emoji-cheat-sheet.com/.
Try it yourself. Those Emoji also work on Campfire, GitHub, Basecamp, Turntable.fm, Teambox, Trac,Flowdock, Sprint.ly, Kandan, Textbox.io, Kippt, GitLab, JabbR, Trello, Hall, plug.dj, Qiita, Zendesk, Ruby China,Grove and Idobata.

You could also use node-emoji-random to get random emojis, and grunt-commit-emoji to commit using emoji
